cholesterol testing  (kə-ˈles-tə-ˌrōl, -ˌrȯl) (ˈtes-tin)

1.  To undergo or conduct cholesterol tests that are a measurement of cholesterol levels. The amount of cholesterol levels, as determined by low and high density lipoproteins, will help determine an individual’s risk for heart disease.  The United States national guidelines recommend cholesterol testing begin at the age of twenty and every five years thereafter.
